He Is Risen Believes:

• We believe the Scriptures, both the Old and New Testaments, are inspired of God and are the revelation of God to man, the infallible, reliable rule of faith and conduct (2 Timothy. 3:15-17; I Thessalonians 2:13; 2 Peter 1:21).

• We believe there is one living and true God. We believe God is a Triune Being: Father, Son and Holy Spirit; equal in power and glory; that this triune God created all, upholds all, and governs all (2 Corinthians 13:14) and the Lord Jesus Christ is the sinless eternal Son of God (Matthew 1:23; Luke 1:31, 35); and that man's only hope of redemption is through the shed blood of Jesus Christ the Son of God. Jesus Christ is God's only begotten Son, conceived by the Holy Spirit and believe in His virgin birth, sinless life, miracles and teachings.

• We believe man was created in the image of God, but that by voluntary disobedience man fell from perfection (Romans 5:12).

• We believe that while men were yet sinners Jesus Christ died for mankind, thus forgiving the sins of all who accept and believe on Jesus as the Christ, Lord and Savior of their life. (John 3:16; Romans 5:8).

• We believe that man has no righteousness in himself and must come to God the Father in Jesus’ Name asking and desiring for the righteousness of Christ (Ephesians 2:8).

• We believe when a person receives Christ Jesus as their personal Lord and Savior, a real change takes place in the spirit and soul, and a life changing transformation recognized as the “Born Again” experience takes place (2 Corinthians 5:17; Galatians 2:20).

• We believe the first step of obedience after spiritually becoming “Born Again” is water baptism, “total immersion,” after the manner of John the Baptist baptism. Baptism by “total immersion” is a spiritual cleaning in a purification ceremony; indicating to oneself and to witnesses that the old nature has now died and is being buried and being raised into a new life in Christ Jesus. (Matt. 28:19; Mark 1:4).

• We believe in honoring the Lord by partaking in what’s called the “Lord’s Supper.” The Lord’s Supper is a remembrance of what Jesus Christ, the Savior of mankind, has done for us. This is accomplished by the symbolic use of the bread as the symbol of the Lord’s broken body and juice the fruit of the vine as the symbol of the shed blood of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins (I Corinthians 11:24, 25).

• We believe in the Baptism with the Holy Spirit. This Baptism is a more powerful indwelling of God’s Holy Spirit in a believer’s life; evidenced by supernaturally manifestations given the believer by the Holy Spirit, after the same manner as in Acts 2:4.

• We believe that it is God’s will that all Born Again believer’s walk in the power of God’s Holy Spirit daily (Ephesians 4:30-32) and that the Holy Spirit has gifts to bestow upon the believer; which is evidenced by a Spirit-filled life (I Corinthians 12:1-11; Galatians 5:22).

• We also believe that divine healing is the power of Christ healing the physically and spiritually sick through the prayer of faith (James 5:14-16).

• We believe that Jesus is returning for His church (Christians); and that His return could be at any moment
(I Thessalonians 4:16, 17).

• We believe that Christians should obey the laws of the land and their government at all times except in things opposed to the will of God (Romans 13:1-5).

• We believe Christians will be caught away (bodily and spiritually taken out of this world) followed by the visible return of Jesus Christ with His saints to reign on the earth for a thousand years (Zech. 14:5; Matt. 24:27, 30; Rev. 1:7; 19:11-14; 20: 1-6).

• We believe All shall stand before the judgment seat of Christ and receive either eternal life or death
(2 Corinthians 5:10). Whosoever is not found written in God’s Book of Life, will be delivered to everlasting punishment in the lake of fire and brimstone, which is the second death (Matt. 25: 46; Mark 9: 43-48; Rev. 19: 20; 20:11-15; 21:8).

• We believe Heaven is the eternal home for all born-again believers (John 14:1-3; Revelation 7:15-17).

• We believe that walking in Holy Spirit manifested glory power is each believers calling, as is spreading the gospel and winning souls for Christ Jesus. (James 5:20).
